Let the data drive you.

This week while you are at work, listen to the problems and the solutions that are proposed. Listen to the logic and reasoning that is shared in group settings to situations and opportunities as they present themselves.

Have you collected data around the problem you are experiencing? What does the data say? I challenge you to take action against what the data presents. Rather than proposing the "I believe" or "I think" take action on what you know. There is a time and place for opinion but it should come second to data or be on a weighted basis from which you do inductive or deductive reasoning. Sometimes you will need to use your experience to connect the dots and stretch between the answers. When doing that, though, you will ease into the theory testing it.

Seriously, this week, listen for facts from data or fiction and opinion. I bet you will be amazed.
